The Dark Knight is the movie sequel to Batman Begin’s, released in 2008.

Directed and co-written by Christopher Nolan.  If you’re a Batman fan, then this is the movie to watch.

The film has two classic Batman villains the “Joker” (Heath Ledger) and Harvey “Two-Face” Dent (Aaron Eckhart).   On January 22, 2008, after he had completed filming Batman - The Dark Knight, Ledger died of a sleeping pill overdose, leading to intense attention from the press and more people showing interest in the film. The film was released on July 16, 2008 in Australia, on July 18, 2008 in North America, and on July 24, 2008 in the United Kingdom.  Prior to its box office debut in North America, record numbers of advance tickets were sold for Batman - The Dark Knight. It was greeted with extremely positive reviews upon release, and became the second film ever to earn more than $500 million at the United States box office, setting numerous other records in the procesess.
