The message for those of us in the West is quite startling, the fact that the sheer brain power of the emerging countries will outstrip us in the coming years, but… and I guess, this is the important BUT…. flair, imagination & innovation don’t come solely through brain power alone and the counting of how many degrees you have under your belt… things like the Apple IPOD need more than brain power… but, as these emerging new world countries develop in affluence, they too will enjoy some of the luxuries of time and resources afforded to the West and then, who can say what will happen!!!

This original release was followed by several updated versions which are included here also for you to see.  This next version is supposed to be an official update to the original “Shift Happens” video from Karl Fisch and Scott McLeod.  It was produced in June 2007 and includes new and updated statistics, thought-provoking questions and a fresh design.
