Kevin Costner - New Oil Spill Technology - Making A Change

With all the billions the oil companies make in the world, it takes one man, Kevin Costner to make a change in the world which will make a difference.  The tragedy of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, the devastation caused by this disaster, was the moment waiting for a solution.  Kevin Costner was the man who believed in solving that problem and set about to change the world, he had meaning in what he was doing and ultimately he was bound to succeed.

This video shows how the big oil giant BP, who caused the worst environmental disaster in US history, is now working with Kevin Costner’s company, Ocean Therapy Solutions, in a joint effort to sort the problem.   BP’s Doug Suttles explains what they are doing and how they are deploying the new technology.  Kevin Costner invested $20 million of his own money in developing the machines which can clean up to 210,000 gallons of oily water each day.  BP deployed 32 oil separation machines to clean up the mess after the Deepwater Horizon rig exploded on 20th April killing 11 workers.

“I didn’t come here to save the day,” Costner told reporters. “I have come to participate.”
