Kevin Costner - Oil Spill Solution - Testifies to Senate

In this first of our Meaning series of videos, we focus on actor, director now entrepreneur business man Kevin Costner and how over the last decade or so he has poured 20 Million dollars of his own money into an invention for separating Oil from Water.  The problem brought to the world centre stage in the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico which started on 20th April 2010.

The leak was stopped on 15th July, by which time 205.8 Million gallons of crude oil had escaped causing extensive damage to marine and wild life habitats.  The damage also destroyed the areas fishing and tourism industries.  This next video below, explains how the spill ocurred.
