Synopsis: Mamma Mia! The Movie is based on some of the best songs of the successful Swedish pop group ABBA and has some new songs composed by one of the original members of the group, Benny Andersson. The film is an adaptation of the 1999 West-End musical of the same name, and has  become the most successful Hollywood film musical of all time and highest grossing film of all time in the UK.  The film’s title originates from the group’s 1975 chart-topper Mamma Mia.

Meryl Streep heads the cast of the film, playing the role of single mother Donna Sheridan.  Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, and Stellan Skarsgard play the three possible fathers to Donna’s daughter Sophie (Amanda Seyfried).
